How I work
Designing or renovating a home involves thousands of decisions, many of them made long before anything is built. For most homeowners, the challenge isn’t knowing what they like — it’s knowing which decisions matter most, and when.
I’m Wagner, the founder of Door Five, a residential design practice focused on helping homeowners think clearly before committing to major changes. I work with clients who want their homes to feel calm, considered, and genuinely supportive of everyday life — not just visually, but functionally and over time.
My role is not to impose a signature style or rush the process. Instead, I guide each project by slowing decisions down, asking the right questions, and shaping design choices around how a home will actually be lived in. This approach helps create spaces that feel resolved, coherent, and quietly confident.
Door Five is intentionally small. I work one-to-one with a limited number of clients, allowing for close involvement from early conversations through to build-ready detail. This suits projects where clarity, collaboration, and long-term thinking matter more than speed or trends.
I work across renovations, extensions, new-build homes, and interior reworks, supporting clients at different stages of the process — often before plans are fixed or budgets committed. The focus is always the same: thoughtful decisions made at the right time.
If you’re planning meaningful changes to your home and want guidance before committing, a conversation is a good place to start.
